TORONTO LYNX SET TO HOST ANOTHER TIM HORTONS COACHES CLINIC

 

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2007 (TORONTO, ON)  The Toronto Lynx, in partnership with Tim Hortons will present another session of their popular Coaches Clinic this Saturday, September 29 at the new Sportsdome facility at Wild Water Kingdom in Brampton.  The semi-annual soccer coaches clinic has became a highlight of the year for club and school soccer coaches throughout Ontario as they prepare for their upcoming fall and winter programs.  The complimentary clinic, which features one spring and one fall clinic annually, has been an important tool for the professional growth for them since its inception in 2004.   This year’s spring session was held each in March at Astra Sportsplex in Vaughan and was attended by over 200 coaches. 

 

The Toronto Lynx will also make a major announcement about their 2008 season at the clinic.

 

Toronto Lynx Head Coach Duncan Wilde leads the dynamic and informative sessions, which are a unique opportunity for coaches to enhance their skills in an interactive setting. Wilde, is supported by Lady Lynx head coach Danny Stewart, Lynx assistant Billy Steele and coaches from the Toronto Lynx Academy.   Tactical sessions include demonstrations featuring Lynx players, and youths from the successful Toronto Lynx Academy Super-Y League teams. Dr. Robert Gringmuth's medical team will be on hand to offer insightful and helpful information on nutrition and fitness.

Coaches who are eager to improve the performance of their teams and inspire their youth to greater heights are encouraged to register early as the clinic traditionally reaches capacity. Coaches in attendance will also receive a free coaching manual courtesy of the National Soccer Coaches Association of Canada (NSCAC) and Tim Hortons and a free ticket to a 2008 Toronto Lynx or Lady Lynx home match.

 

The 2008 fall session is taking place on Saturday, September 29th at Sportsdome at Wild Water Kingdom from 9:00 AM -12:00 PM. Registration deadline is Friday September 28th at 5:00 PM.
