POPULAR TIM HORTONS/TORONTO LYNX COACHES CLINIC RETURNS THIS SPRING

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 28, 2007(Toronto, CANADA) The Toronto Lynx, in partnership with Tim Hortons will present another session of their popular Coaches Clinic on Saturday, March 24 at Astra Sportsplex in Vaughan.  The semi-annual soccer coaches clinic has became a highlight of the year for club and school soccer coaches throughout Ontario as they prepare for their upcoming seasons.  The complimentary clinic has been an important tool for the professional growth for them since its inception in 2004.   A second session is held each fall to aid coaches in their preparation for the indoor season.

Toronto Lynx Head Coach Duncan Wilde leads the dynamic and informative sessions, which are a unique opportunity for coaches to enhance their skills in an interactive setting. Wilde, is supported by Lady Lynx head coach Danny Stewart, Lynx assistant Billy Steele and coaches from the Toronto Lynx Academy.   Tactical sessions include demonstrations featuring Lynx players, and youths from the successful Toronto Lynx Academy Super-Y League teams. Dr. Robert Gringmuth's medical team will be on hand to offer insightful and helpful information on nutrition and fitness.

Coaches who are eager to improve the performance of their teams and inspire their youth to greater heights are encouraged to register early as the clinic traditionally reaches capacity. Coaches in attendance will also receive a free coaching manual courtesy of the National Soccer Coaches Association of Canada (NSCAC) and Tim Hortons.

The 2007 spring session is taking place on Saturday, March 24th at Astra Sportsplex from 9:00 AM -12:00 PM. Registration deadline is Friday March 16th at 5:00 PM.
