JUNIOR LYNX TRYOUTS
COMMENCE WITH RECORD TURNOUT
WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 10, 2008 (TORONTO, CANADA) Even inclement weather could not discourage a record number of aspiring junior soccer players from across the region from attending last Sunday's first open tryout for the Toronto Lynx Juniors Fall Premier Soccer Academy program. "I was very encouraged to see so many boys and girls participate in spite of the pouring rain at Downsview Park." commented Academy Director Duncan Wilde. "Our Academy program and the college showcase opportunities it provides, along with our affiliation with the Bolton Wanderers of the EPL, has generated an unprecedented level of interest amongst elite junior players. Our tremendously successful season this year in the Super Y-League has had a huge impact as well, making us much more visible to the many talented players who are participating in the trial.”
There remains space in the second open trial session scheduled for this coming
Sunday, September 14 once again at Downsview Park on the new outdoor field turf
facility.
