Match Summary:
 
The Toronto Lady Lynx were defeated 5-0 by the Ottawa Fury this evening in Ottawa.
 
Ottawa's Rhian Wilkinson opened scoring in the 38th minute with her shot from 20 yards out after Toronto goalkeeper Anne Ogundele had been beaten to a cross.
 
Ottawa made it 2-0 before halftime when Linda Consolante bundled in the ball from close range after a cross from Wilkinson.
 
It was 2-0 to Ottawa at halftime.
 
Ottawa continued their fine form in the second half, at made it 3-0 in the 55th minute.  Leah Robinson found the back of the net after a fine sequence created by Ottawa.
 
Toronto goalkeeeper Anne Ogundele stopped a long shot from Wilkinson in the 75th minute, but Hamel was perfectly positioned to tap in the rebound, making it 4-0.
 
It was 5-0 to Ottawa in the 83rd minute when Amy Vermuelen scored from Kelly Parker's pass.
 
It was 5-0 to Ottawa as full time sounded.  
 
This evening's loss still leaves Toronto in first place of the W-League's Eastern Conference, Northern Division.  The Lady Lynx are back in action this Saturday, when they take on the Vermont Lady Voltage in Vermont at 5:30 PM.      
 
Notes: Toronto entered this evenings match with a record of 7-1-0, while Ottawa was 5-1-0.  Toronto's last match ended 2-0 to the Long Island Lady Riders, their first loss of the season.  Toronto entered today's match in first place of the W-League's Eastern Conference, Northern Division.  Ottawa was in second place.
